Recycling and ESG

Big Pak holds a GRS v4.0 (Global Recycled Standard) certificate issued by Control Union, active until November 2026. Four-loop bags containing 30% post-consumer rPP are manufactured within a documented supply chain — with full documentation for ESG reporting and compliance processes.

Certification is issued per production batch, after placing an order. Production within the GRS chain is also available without certificate issuance — an option for clients who need tracked material but do not require a GRS document for a tender. GRS certification is a service subject to an additional charge.

What is the difference between a four-loop bag and a single-loop bag?

Four loops instead of one mean greater stability during lifting and transport by forklift – the bag does not rotate and retains its shape during loading. This is standard in construction, food, and recycling. The single-loop bag is a design dedicated mainly to the fertiliser segment, where loading is carried out differently.

Are Big Bag bags from Big Pak available with GRS certification?

Yes. Big Pak has held an active Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certificate since 2024. Big Bags with recycled polypropylene (rPP) content are available upon individual order for production batches covered by GRS certification.

Does Big Pak supply four-loop bags with GRS certification (recycled PP)?

Yes, made to order. Bags with 30% post-consumer rPP content are produced within the GRS v4.0 chain of custody (Control Union certified). GRS documentation is issued per production batch after an order is placed – it is not available prior to purchase. GRS certification is an additionally paid service. Production within the GRS chain is also possible without issuing a certificate.

What documentation will I receive for the tender or ESG report?

We are sending the GRS documentation for the ordered production batches — ready to be attached directly in procurement processes, tenders, and ESG reporting in the EU market.

Are Big Pak 4-loop big bags ISO 9001 certified?

Yes. The quality management system for the production of big bags at Big Pak is certified according to ISO 9001:2015 by TÜV NORD Polska. The certificate is valid until September 2026. A German language version of the document is available.

Do rPP Big Bags meet the PPWR requirements?

Big Bag sacks with certified rPP (GRS) content are the answer to the PPWR requirements regarding the share of recycled materials in plastic packaging. The availability and share of rPP are determined upon order — contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
