What we produce

Big Pak produces two types of industrial packaging:

FIBC Big Bag Sacks

flexible containers for transport and storage of bulk materials. We specialise in single-loop bags for the fertiliser and agrochemical industry, and four-loop bags for the construction, chemical, and food industries. We hold UN 13H3 approval for the transport of hazardous materials (ADR/RID/IMDG).

PE films

manufactured using 3-layer blown film technology: industrial films, layflat tubing, centerfold films, shrink films and liners for Big Bags. We are the only big-bag company in Poland that produces its own film — this eliminates the issue of dimensional mismatch between the liner and the bag.

Both segments are manufactured at a single plant in Ełk. The GRS v4.0 certificate enables the supply of products with a documented share of post-consumer recycled materials (rPP and rPE) — with documentation for ESG reporting and compliance processes.

From a workshop to a leading supplier in Poland

Big Pak was established in 2009 in Ełk on the initiative of Adam Koniuszewski.

The breakthrough came with the cooperation with Grupa Azoty and Anwil - the largest fertiliser producers in Poland. This entry into the fertiliser industry built the company's position and triggered further investments: the construction of its own production hall and company headquarters, and the expansion of its machinery fleet. The next step was our own PE film line - first one machine, then a second. Today, Big Pak is the only company in Poland producing big bags and PE films under one roof.

Currently, Big Pak is one of the leading suppliers of fertiliser bags in Poland - we supply to most fertiliser distributors in the country, and we have maintained our position as a leading supplier to Grupa Azoty and Anwil for many years.

The plant in Eu0142k employs around 130 people, a significant portion of whom work directly in production. Big Pak is one of the larger industrial employers in the Warmian-Masurian region.

The company has its own R&D department and design office - projects for custom packaging solutions are implemented internally.

Big Pak is GRS v4.0 certified (Global Recycled Standard, Control Union). Bags with 30% post-consumer rPP content are made to order, in a documented supply chain - with documentation for ESG reporting and compliance in the EU market.

GRS documentation is issued per production batch, after placing an order. Certification

Big Pak holds the GRS v4.0 (Global Recycled Standard, Control Union) certificate. Bags with a 30% share of post-consumer rPP are manufactured to order, within a documented supply chain - with documentation for ESG reporting and compliance on the EU market.

GRS documentation is issued per production batch, after an order has been placed. Certification is an additionally paid service; production within the GRS chain is also possible without the issuance of a certificate.

Certificates and standards

Big Pak manufactures under a certified quality management system (ISO 9001:2015, TÜV NORD Polska). Big Bag sacks have UN 13H3 approval for the transport of dangerous goods (ADR/RID/IMDG, COBRO/Łukasiewicz certificates). The GRS v4.0 certificate (Global Recycled Standard, Control Union) enables production with a documented share of post-consumer recycled materials.

We were the first in Poland to obtain the GRS certificate in the big-bag segment - this opened the way to cooperation with clients who require ESG documentation and supply chain reporting.

Environmental responsibility

We produce packaging that goes back into circulation. The GRS v4.0 certificate confirms the share of post-consumer materials in our products — both rPP in bags and rPE in films. For customers, this means ready-made documentation for ESG reporting without additional audits on the buyer's side.

In the film production process, we use a closed cooling water loop — with zero discharge to the sewerage system.

Customers

Big Pak serves fertiliser manufacturers, agrochemical distributors, construction companies, and the chemical industry in Poland and Europe.

We are a leading supplier of fertiliser bags for Grupa Azoty and Anwil — the largest fertiliser producers in Poland. Among our foreign clients is Yara — one of the largest fertiliser producers in the world.
