Select film type

Big Pak selects the type of film to suit the packaging, transport, and storage processes. We manufacture to order width, thickness, and layer structure according to the customer's specifications.

Production of film using 3-layer co-extrusion technology

Big Pak produces PE films using three-layer blown film extrusion technology. The three-layer structure allows for the combination of different material properties in a single film — the outer layer provides mechanical strength and puncture resistance, while the inner layer is responsible for sealing properties or contact with the product.

In our production process, we use a closed-loop cooling water system — water is reused within the technological process, with no discharge into the municipal network. Available material structures: PE-LD, PE-

Frequently asked questions

Have another question? Call us!

What PE films does Big Pak produce?

Big Pak manufactures PE polyethylene films using 3-layer blown film technology: flat industrial films, film layflat tubings, centre-folded films, shrink films, and stretch hoods. We also manufacture PE liners for Big Bags (FIBC). Production facility in Ełk - delivery to Poland and the EU.

What is the maximum width of the layflat film?

We produce PE film sleeves up to 200 cm in width and up to 180 μm in thickness. For other parameters - please contact us, we will select a solution tailored to your needs.

Are PE films from Big Pak available with recycled content?

Yes. Big Pak has been GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified since 2024. Films with recycled polyethylene (rPE) content are available on request for certified batches – GRS documentation is sent on enquiry.

Are PE films from Big Pak suitable for contact with food?

Big Pak is certified for food contact (FDA / EC 10/2011). Approval for a specific type of film is confirmed individually upon order placement.

What is the difference between a layflat tubing and a centerfold film?

A layflat tubing is a closed tube of PE film - when cut into sections and sealed on one side, it forms a bag. Centrefold film is folded along its length - when unfolded, it provides a double-width sheet, or it is used for packaging products inserted from the side. The choice depends on the packaging method and the geometry of the product.

What is the minimum order for film?

The minimum order is determined individually – it depends on the type, width, and thickness of the film. Please contact us with your requirements; we will provide a quote and the current lead time.
