Big Bag bags for waste and raw material recovery

Big Pak produces Big Bag FIBCs for the collection, transport and storage of recyclables and industrial waste - plastics, scrap metal, waste paper, glass, rubber waste and RDF fractions. Single-loop and four-loop bags, configured according to the requirements of the material. GRS v4.0 certified - Big Pak bags are produced with or without post-consumer recycled content. Plant in Ełk, delivery to Poland and the EU.

What do companies in this industry pack?

Recyclables and waste - typical applications
MaterialPackaging typeNotes
Plastic waste (PE, PP, PET, mixed)Single-point or four-pointLow bulk density — large volumes; SWL 500–1,000 kg
Loose fertilisers (superphosphate, ammonium sulphate) / Non-ferrous scrap metal (aluminium, copper, zinc)Four-clamping, reinforcedHigh specific gravity and angularity; SWL up to 2,000 kg
Waste paper and cardboard (baled)Four-hookLarge dimensions and weight; 4 attachment points = stability when using a crane
Broken glass (cullet)Four-clamping, reinforcedAbrasive and edge material — mechanical resistance of PP fabric required
Rubber granulate (from recycled tyres)Four-loop or single-loop bagWLL selected according to density; optional PE liner PE liner
Textile waste (sorted, baled)Four-hookLarge volume, low weight; 4 attachment points for easy crane loading
RDF/SRF fraction (refuse-derived fuel)Single-point or four-pointLightweight, dusty material; PE liner on request
Loose industrial waste (powders, granules)Open top z-liner PELiner tightness prevents dusting; configuration according to requirements
Renovation and construction waste (rubble, plaster, ceramic tiles)Four-clamping, reinforcedHeavy and abrasive material; SWL up to 2,000 kg; without liner-free standard
Insulation waste (expanded polystyrene, mineral wool)Four-point or single-pointLow weight, large volume; PE liner optional for mineral wool
Demolition wood (broken, chipped)Four-hookEdge material; mechanical resistance of the PP fabric is key
Post-industrial PP/PE regrind (from production)Single-pointInternal transport or to the processor — lighter material

Big Bags for recycling

In the recycling industry, what matters most is mechanical resilience against abrasive and sharp materials, durability during crane loading, and adjusting the SWL to the density of the specific fraction. Many buyers in the recovery sector also appreciate the GRS certificate - as proof that the packaging manufacturer itself operates in a closed loop.
Bag typeFor which materialsKey feature
Four-clamping, reinforcedScrap metal, glass, waste paperMechanical resistance of the fabric; 4 attachment points = even weight distribution
Four-loop with discharge spoutFractions for transfer or pelletingGravity discharge without tilting
Single-loop open topLightweight plastics, rubber granulate, RDFSimpler loading; lower cost with smaller SWLs
Single-loop + PE linerDusty waste, recycled powdersThe liner reduces dusting and protects the fraction from moisture

Logistics data:

Minimum order of single-loop bags: 500 pcs (1 pallet)

Response time: 24h / 1 working day

Transport: road only (trucks); 5,000–10,000 pcs / truck for 1,000 kg bags

PE films for recycling and recovery

PE liners for bags - for dusty or fine-grained fractions (granulates, recycled powders); thickness selected to match the material

PE sleeves and wrapping films - for securing compressed bales and pallets with scrap metal or waste paper during transport

Foil hoods and covers - protection for fractions stored outdoors

Circular packaging manufacturer

Big Pak is one of the few FIBC manufacturers in Poland with an active GRS v4.0 (Global Recycled Standard) certificate, issued by Control Union. The certificate covers both Big Bags (70% PP + 30% post-consumer rPP) and PE liners (70% PE + 30% post-consumer rPE).
For companies in the recycling and recovery sector, this is an important factor when choosing a packaging supplier - not only does the product meet technical requirements, but its manufacturer is also part of the circular economy.
Bags with a certified recycled content are available on request. GRS documentation (Scope Certificate + Transaction Certificate per batch) meets ESG reporting and supply chain audit requirements.

Frequently asked questions

Have another question? Call us!

Will Big Bag sacks withstand contact with sharp scrap metal or broken glass?

Yes, provided the PP fabric weight is appropriate. Big Pak four-loop bags designed for scrap metal and glass are manufactured from a higher weight fabric that is resistant to cuts and abrasion. The bag configuration (weight, SWL, reinforcements) is agreed with the customer at the ordering stage. In the case of materials with very sharp edges, we recommend a PE liner as an additional protective layer.

Does Big Pak supply GRS-certified bags for ESG documentation?

Yes. Big Pak holds an active GRS v4.0 (Global Recycled Standard) certificate issued by Control Union. Bags with a 30% post-consumer rPP content are available upon request. A Transaction Certificate is issued with each batch - a document required in ESG reporting and supply chain audits. GRS certification is subject to an additional fee.

What is the load capacity of the plastic collection bags?

For light plastic fractions (PE, PP, film), single-loop bags with a SWL of 500–1,000 kg are typically used - the bulk density of these materials is low, so the bag's volume fills up faster than the weight limit. For heavy fractions (granulate, regranulate, hard plastics), we select the grammage and SWL individually. Details upon order.

Does Big Pak supply bags to plastics processors (regranulation, extrusion)?

Yes. Single-loop open top and bottle-type bags work well for transporting PP/PE granulate between processing plants. Optionally with a PE liner to prevent dusting. Minimum order: 500 pcs (1 pallet).

Are Big Bags suitable for collecting rubble and renovation waste?

Yes. The Big Pak four-loop bag is ideal for collecting and transporting rubble, plaster, ceramic tiles, and other construction waste. The PP fabric with the appropriate grammage withstands contact with sharp, heavy fractions. The four loops ensure stability when lifting the full bag with a crane or forklift. For insulation waste (polystyrene, mineral wool), configurations with a PE liner are available to limit dust. The bag's configuration – grammage, SWL, closing type – is agreed upon with the customer.

What is the minimum order quantity and lead time?

Minimum order for single-loop bags: 500 pcs (1 pallet). Minimum order for four-loop bags: 500 pcs. Enquiry response time: 24h / 1 working day.
